Working together
The structure of sessions
Sessions take place online, using a platform that ensures confidentiality and the security of the connection. It is important that both parties are able to speak in a calm and private space.
The fee for a session depends on the country of residence and the economic context in which a person lives. I aim to make the cost of therapy as appropriate as possible to individual circumstances, which is why fees are provided in response to a contact enquiry.
Confidentiality
The content of sessions is confidential. This means that what arises in the conversation is not shared with third parties.
Confidentiality does, however, have its limits. These apply in situations where there is a real risk to life or health, or where disclosure is required by law.
My work is subject to regular supervision, conducted in an anonymised manner, which supports the quality and safety of the therapeutic process. I work in accordance with the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Sessions are not recorded. This applies to audio recordings, video recordings, and screen recording on both sides. Any exception to this principle can take place only by mutual agreement and with the explicit consent of both parties.
Responsibility and boundaries
Therapy is a process grounded in conversation and relationship. It does not involve providing ready-made solutions or guaranteeing specific outcomes. I am responsible for creating a safe framework for the work and for attending carefully to the process. The client retains autonomy over the topics, pace, and direction of the work. At any point, it is possible to discuss doubts, pauses, or ending the collaboration.
Cancellations and payments
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please let me know at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Sessions cancelled with shorter notice are chargeable, unless we agree otherwise in advance. Payment for the session is made in advance, by bank transfer, prior to the meeting.
Contact outside sessions
Email contact between sessions is intended for organisational matters (e.g. scheduling changes).
It does not replace therapeutic sessions and is not a form of crisis intervention. In urgent or crisis situations, it is advisable to use local support services or emergency numbers.
